Networking and transfer of knowledge meeting: Life FoodPrint meets Cyprus Chefs Association and Life Climate Smart Chefs

Online. Graceanne LaCombe (Project Coordinator for ALMA) presented the LIFE CLIMATE SMART CHEFS project and its opportunities for chefs to the Cyprus Chefs Association (CCA) during the networking and knowledge exchange event organized by FoodPrint, a EU LIFE project partnering with us in spreading the culture of sustainability through food.

UNFCCC COP 27

Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt). Andrea Magnani (Researcher, Barilla Foundation) presented the LIFE CLIMATE SMART CHEFS project during the side event entitled ‘Climate is LIFE: Italian project solutions for fighting climate change’ organized by the Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition (MiTE) and LIFE National Contact Points Italy within the UNFCCC COP27 – Sharm el Sheikh Climate Change Conference 2022. The side event is part of the #LIFEis30 agenda.

35th Annual AEHT Conference

Senigallia, Ancona (IT). AEHT Annual Conference of European Hotel and Turism Schools is an event that for 34 years has gathered students, managers and teachers from all over Europe. Using a digital quiz format called Cooking Quiz, the LIFE CLIMATE SMART CHEFS project has been presented to a young audience composed by hospitality students. Question by question, and with the support of the official project presentation and images, the main topics of LIFE CLIMATE SMART CHEFS have been introduced and discussed with students.

Ljubljana (Slovenia). First plenary roundtable of the Climate Smart Chefs roadmap to Vision 2030

The roundtable acts as a kick-off to discuss the opportunities for chefs to be part of a wider EU strategy for healthy and sustainable food, with an introduction of the focus topics that will be discussed during the roundtables to come later in the program of the Climate Smart Chefs Roadmap to Vision 2030: healthy sustainable diets, food waste, technology tools for chefs.

The event is organized by EUNIC, a European network of organisations engaging in cultural relations from all EU Member States, and is supported by the Delegation of the European Union to Norway.
